Our Aims For Our Pupils
- Develop the academic potential of each pupil.
- Enrich the pupils’ experience through music, sport and other interests.
- Allow the moral and spiritual well-being of the pupil to grow.
- Nurture the individual, in a co-educational school, with a Christian ethos.
At Leicester Grammar School we aim to make the most of the individuality, talent and creative potential of your child, through exceptional teaching supported by active pastoral care.
When your child joins Leicester Grammar School, he/she embarks on a curriculum which allows an exploration of a wide range of subjects and encourages the development of new interests. He/she will also gain the skills necessary to become an independent learner.
Small class sizes enable us to get to know your child as an individual and help your child to develop self-confidence in a happy and friendly environment. This is combined with excellent teaching and a positive work ethos of recognition and praise.
The core curriculum provides a sound foundation in Mathematics, English Literature and Language, the Sciences and Modern Languages. To these are added the Creative and Performing Arts, the Humanities, a grounding in the Classics, and opportunities to explore the innovations in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Design & Technology.
Visiting speakers, theatre trips, study trips abroad, opportunities to participate in national competitions, and a wide range of extra-curricular activities all serve to further enrich your child’s experience at school.
By pursuing excellence, and through continued investment in high-quality teachers and facilities, we are confident we will continue to deliver the highest academic standards for all our students.
