Trustees
Trustees are unpaid and serve as trustees of the Trust charity, governors of its schools, and non-executive directors of its not-for-profit limited company. Those who serve as trustees have a range of professional backgrounds and experience of value to the Board.
In addition to attending and participating in meetings of the Board, Trustees are expected to sit on one or more of its committees and to attend a range of events. They are expected to have close knowledge of the schools within the Trust. In some cases they are parents of pupils or former pupils of the schools or even have been pupils themselves. However, all Trustees must act independently in accordance with charity law.
Anyone wishing to be considered for appointment as a Trustee should in the first instance contact the Chairman of Trustees by e-mail or letter stating in brief terms their background and reasons. Any new appointments are made by the Board as and when a need arises having regard to the skills required from time to time.
